Reduced Mileage Awards with American Airlines and Citi Credit Card

American Airlines is offering reduced mileage awards for Citi / AAdvantage card members to selected destinations. Must book and travel between April 1, 2011 and June 30, 2011. The mileage discount is between 5,000 and 7,500 miles round trip depending on the credit card you have. Must call reservations at 1-800-882-8880 to book your flight. All such award travel is subject to an additional payment of $25 (unless you are an AAdvantage Executive Platinum members)

Terms & Conditions:

  • Award travel is valid for First/Business and Coach Class travel on American Airlines, American Eagle or the AmericanConnection® carrier where applicable.
  • Offer valid for round trip MileSAAverSM awards only.
  • The Reduced Mileage Awards may only be claimed from the primary cardmember’s Citi®/ AAdvantage® card account.
  • Valid for First Class on flights with two classes of service and Business Class on flights with three classes of service.
  • You must be a Citi® / AAdvantage® credit cardmember at the time the award is issued to be eligible for a Reduced Mileage Award.
  • This offer is not available for Citi® / AAdvantage® credit cardmembers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

  1. When I booked one of these through AA reservations, the rep told me that the $25 fee doesn’t apply to these reduced-mileage Citicard awards.
