Free Points Promotions Compiled

Over this weekend there have been many blog posts on ways to get some free posts.

Chase Ultimate Rewards: Chase credit card members who earn Ultimate Reward points can earn 2,500 points + $5 in free stamps by signing up for a membership with stamps.com. This membership is free for the first 4 weeks, which is all you need to earn the points. After the free promotional period you must call 1-888-434-0055 to cancel your account as you will get charged $15.99/month. The #hustle blog goes through detailed screen shots on the steps needed to get these free points using the Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall to sign up.

2,500 bonus points is valued at $25+, so this is a very worthwhile promotion. I have been been surprised and impressed lately with all the extra promotions that both Chase and American Express have been giving away lately. These free bonus points typically take 5 minutes or less of your time and can really add up over time. While 2,500 bonus points is not nearly as good as the points readers were able to obtain with the American Express promotions (blog post: 10,000 points/month; blog post: 75,000 points with American Express Gold card), however, this one is guaranteed. Like all other promotions, I would act on this quickly as you never know when this will get pulled.

United/Continental Miles: MyPoints shopping portal is giving away 750 free United miles  after 30 days of free membership. This is most likely limited to first time members, but it is always worth a try if you are an existing member. Also, if you do not have a United account, it is worth creating one as you are able to transfer miles between Continental and United for free. If continental is your preference this could instead give you 750 miles with just an extra step involved. Million Mile Secrets also suggests to create a new email account for this as you will receive a decent amount of spam. You can always cancel your account after the points are awarded as well.

Delta: Earn 350 Delta miles by watching an in-store demonstration on the Bose Quiet Comfort product. This promotion runs through September 12, 2011. And, if you really are in the market for these headphones you can earn another 1,500 miles for actually buying the product. I do not own a pair of these, but have used them many times on American Airline business class international and cross-country flights (AA will give them out to borrow) and they are amazing!

VOILÀ Hotel Rewards: Earn 4,000 bonus points by joining VOILÀ Hotel Rewards. You will also receive Orion tier membership status which has its perks such as: 25% bonus points, complimentary available upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, free WiFi, etc. View from the Wing posted that members will receive 5,000 points through his link, however, I am only seeing the 4,000 points. Unfortunately, 4,000 points cannot be redeemed for anything immediately, but this is a good boost to get you there. Once you hit the 5,000 point mark you can redeem for a hotel night award that is $49 or less and once you hit 9,000 points you can redeem for 999 Delta Sky Miles. I just joined and the 4,000 points were put into my account immediately.

Remember to keep on checking the “Top Promos” tab, as this page is consistently updated with these types of promotions.

  2. I joined on the weekend and just signed into my account———6000 points. the DL partner page says 1DL mil for 9 Voila pts.

  3. It seems that the MyPoints shopping portal is just a gimmick of United as it has been well over 30 days from joining and no points have posted.
