3-Day Radisson Hotel Sale + Register for 50,000 Bonus Points!

Radisson Hotels is having a 25% 3-day sale (ending Friday, November 18) for reservations booked through November 30, 2011. This sale is for participating Radisson and Country Inn & Suites Hotels (not all Club Carlson brands). Book a reservation here and make sure to use promotion code LMD25OFF. Since they give you the promotion code, you can also use another portal that gives you cash back (i.e., Mr. Rebates) to make the reservation and manually enter the promotion code.

In addition to the 25% off, you will also receive bonus points with each reservation made during this 3-day sale. Club Carlson members will earn 1,000 bonus points, while Silver and Gold Elite members will earn 2,000 bonus points.

If you have no plans at staying at a Radisson, but are just doing it for the 50,000 bonus promotion from last week, this is a great opportunity to find a cheap hotel and get the bonus points. Remember, to get the 50,000 points, it must be a Radisson Hotel stay (cannot be another Club Carlson brand hotel). For example, a $79/night hotel room can net you 50K points to be redeemed in a top property in Europe (worth around $350) – not a bad ROI!

The good thing is that if you missed out registering last week at midnight (which I stupidly stayed up for), you can still register for the promotion. Once 50,000 people register, however, the bonus will go down to 15,000 points. Some have received email confirmations of their registration, while others (myself included) have not. I have emailed Radisson to find out more about this, it is quite annoying! Many have reported being able to find cheap Radisson hotels in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Chicago O’Hare.

I checked a bunch of hotels in the US and the 25% off code seems to be the lowest rate overall, but make sure to check out all their rates. Also, for the 50,000 point promotion to work, ensure that your rate gives you points towards your stay. To find out if it does not, click the “Rate Details” link and in the “Instructions” piece it will let you know if you will NOT receive points from the stay.

Club Carlson will typically status match to other hotel programs. If you have status at another hotel you will to take a screen shot showing your status at another hotel chain and email it to goldpointsplus@carlson.com or fax it to 1-402-501-9166. You must include your Club Carlson number and a note that you would like to obtain a status match. You can also call Club Carlson at 1-888-288-8889 to find out more about this process.

Thanks Dad for sending me this sale – what a great team/family effort!

  1. I received my email confirmation stating I was enrolled in the 50K promo. For those interested, I was also able to get a $82/night rate at the Radisson LAX. My date was for November 26th.

    • @Tim – When did you get the status match? For most hotels it is until the end of February of the following year, but it could also be two February’s away. You can always call and I am sure they will just read to you what is in the system.

    • @Jenny – The 50K point giveaway just requires you to stay at a Radisson until the end of the year. As long as the rate gives you points (which all the 25% off hotel rates I looked at did), then you are good!

  2. This promo is such a no-brainer but I won’t forward it to family members – they never take advantage of these offers even thought they could absolutely benefit as they all travel a fair amount.
I’ve already had my stay and have the folio showing it’s a points stay.

    • @Acker – Your family sounds like my family! While they love the points and miles game they clearly expect me to do it for them!

  3. My partner and I each just booked rooms at the Sacramento Radisson for $75 a night. Since we both signed up for the point promotion, this will net us 100,000 points. We plan to use them in London, meaning we’ll get about $750 worth of hotel rooms for $150. A neat little bit of arbitrage!

  4. No joy in ABQ. I guess I need to get around to booking the advance purchase rate before the window runs out.
    .
I never did find the blog on how to confirm points are awarded. It is an acceptable rate as long as it does not say ‘No Points’ in the instructions?

    • @Mikes – That is correct. Almost all rates include points. There are times when specific government rates and friends & family rates do not give out points.

  5. Thanks for sharing the promo code!! I received the email, also, which had a link and gives me the 25% off. Here’s the kicker though – by having the actual promo code, I don’t have to go through the link I received in my email. And because of this, I can go through the link in Mr. Rebates – which will net another 5% off. I’m looking at Madison, WI for $70.00, plus another 5% off of that!! Woohoo!! (and thank YOU!!) That – and my wife and I both have signed up for the 50K points – so, we’ll do two rooms for our family at that rate (and the kids will love the extra room!)!

    • @Pat – You need to get points for your stay to get the 50,000 points. If a hotel is wiling to check you in without actually being present that is something you will need to speak to the hotel with directly.

  6. I received an email confirmation of the 50K point promotion. I also status matched. Unfortunately, about 90% of the hotel/dates I checked for Radissons came back saying the promotion code LMD25OFF wasn’t available. I will keep trying. I guess I am trying to visit places that are already busy.

  7. I saw another promo code in the net but it doesn’t give any points thou the rates are really low (which is very inviting). Is it really required to have a 1-night point earning stay for the 50k bonus or as long as you booked/stayed in Radisson hotel would suffice for you to earn the 50k? I have been reading the fine prints for the 50k bonus but it didn’t say anything that the 1-night stay should earn you points in order to quality. I understood that you just need to have at least 1-night stay. I would appreaciate your comment. Thanks
