UPDATE: The Radisson Lexington Hotel New York rate is back to $99/night! When I posted this morning the rate went up to $139 but is now back as of 10:00pm EST 12/12

Club Carlson kicked off a great round of promotions starting with their 50,000 bonus points with a stay at any Radisson hotel by December 30, 2011. This promotion is described in more detail here, but essentially, if you are within the first 50,000 people to register (which they still have not hit), you will receive 50,000 bonus points with a paid night at any Radisson hotel. After the first 50,000 people register the promotion will go down to 15,000 bonus points. I was actually hoping I would have a real reason to stay at a Radisson hotel, but unfortunately do not have the need.

While scouring to find a cheap mattress run, I actually found the Radisson Lexington Hotel New York at a $99/night rate! I was thrilled to realize that I would not have to leave New York City to take advantage of this promotion! Now, there are many Radisson hotels around the US with slightly cheaper rates, but for those that live in NYC and aren’t able to easily take advantage of the mattress run promotions, here is one for you! The $99/night is available for check ins 12/18-12/23. They are non-refundable rates and no promotion code is needed. I actually found the Radisson Lexington Hotel New York at a $99/night rate! The 50,000 points can be redeemed at their highest category hotel for one free night. I look at it as if I am pre-buying a hotel night to be used at any Radisson hotel anywhere for only $100! The Radisson Blu hotels in Europe are supposed to be extremely nice. $100 for a night in Paris – not too shabby! The 50,000 points can also be used for multiple nights at lower level hotel categories or cash + point stays.

Also, if you currently do not have a Club Carlson account (which Radisson is part of), you can register for a new account here and use promotion code OPBCSL11. This is part of a European program through XING and will upgrade you to Silve Elite status automatically. I just created an account through this program so cannot guarantee it works just yet, but it cannot hurt.

Other Club Carlson promotions include: 1) 4,500 bonus points for registering for the T.G.I Friday’s “get more stripes program” and 2) 9,000 bonus points when redeeming your points at any hotel

  1. I’m currently at the Raddison SFO. I needed to stay a night near the airport so am perfectly happy with my $118 rate. I plan to use my points at the Raddison Royal Moscow which should be a great value.

  2. Just stayed at the Triangle Park Radison hotel for a AAA rate of $62. Just so happened to have two corporate christmas parties going on as well. It was a wonderful deal for us.

  3. Only seeing $139 too… and I was actually looking to book the hotel for a stay next week earlier today and only saw $139 too. When did you see $99?

I already did a MR at the Triange Radisson for $59 to get my 50k. I regularly stay at Country Inn in Long Island City (showing at $76/night for next week) but would upgrade to the Radisson for $99 night

  4. I got a $74 stay in Jacksonville. Did it once for my account and just did for my wife’s. The first time was right after Thanksgiving but points haven’t been posted. Hope soon!

  5. The rate at the NYC Radisson fluctuates daily, so, for the best rate, you may want to check regularly. Be sure to request a room on a high floor; the hotel has a nightclub on street level.

  6. does country inn count towards this promo? i am staying at a country inn in new orleans 12/24- or would i have to stay at a flagship radission or radisson blu?

    • @Idin – Most people who have commented have not yet received the 50,000 bonus points, however, there are a few who have.

  7. One other thing, when I booked the 30% off deal it did not require pre-payment like the other advance booking price we made… It stated that cancellations were allowable just like a regular stay. This might be of use for people with uncertain plans, as the night can be booked at this lower offer price but still cancelled if plans change.

  8. So I did this and got my 50k. I must say though, it was probably worse hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. The sleep number bed is like sleeping on the floor in an air mattress. The things we do for points.

    • @Yoav – I hear ya! In the US they aren’t known for being the best hotels, but I have heard otherwise in Europe! I am actually planning on just checking in and not staying at the hotel. The money we put out for points…

  9. Lol. That is pretty funny. I actually have a bit of points accrued from europe. Have 150k now and I would say the Carlson hotel was not bad. At least for European standards. Luckily they match status up to gold, but that still doesn’t really get you any benefits. Probably going to use points in Europe anyways.

  10. Hello all,

I e-mailed Club Carlson to upgrade my existing account to Silve Elite status via the promotion code and just got the confirmation that my account has been updated. FYI.

  11. I joined a few weeks ago, booked online for the 1,000 points, stayed in San Francisco and got the 50,000 credited to my account today. Also got 20 points per dollar spent on the room which was 5,560.

TOTAL FOR MY WEEKEND IN SAN FRAN
    58,560 GOLD POINTS

This is the BEST points program 🙂
Great rooms with decent rates !!!!

I’m hooked. My husband also has an account and registered for the chance at 50,000 points. We are going to stay here in Seattle soon just for those points.

    • @Erica – that’s great! My husband and I both have our stay this upcoming weekend. This was a great way to earn points, in my opinion.

  12. Thanks Deals We Like! The BF booked a room for 12/18 (he checked in and didn’t even get the keys!), but it will come into use for our upcoming trip to Europe in Feb. I’m checking into a Radisson during my Christmas break home in CA. I got a $65 room rate, so decided that was an even better deal! 🙂

  13. does one know if check-in at Dec 30 works (check out Dec 31)? not sure what “By Dec 30 means” or the fine print says between X and Dec 30

Thanks..I’ll call to ask Radisson if nobody is sure and update back

  14. NVM, flyertalk said NO to Dec 31 check out

    Dear a330300,

Thank you for taking the time to write.

    We appreciate your recent message.

The qualifying stay must be completed by December 30th. A check out on
December 31st would not qualify for the promotion.

  15. How do they define “paid” nite for the 50K Carlson points? Say, if I book with Citi Thank You points, Chase Ultimate Rewards Points, or Southwest Rapid Rewards Points via each program’s portal, would my stay at Radisson be considered “paid” since I’m not using Carlson points in the booking process? Do I necessary book with radisson.com to be eligible for the promo?

    • @cmoz – If you earn points with your stay than it counts as a paid stay. You do not need to book with radisson.com. You can always tweet @Radisson or send them a message on flyertalk as well.
