Last week I posted about a great way to eat at three participating Restaurant Week restaurants for a total of 57.54 including tip and tax ($19.18 per dine)! If you know NYC at all, you know that this is an amazing deal! Unfortunately, registration was limited to the first 15,000 people and closed pretty quickly. Good news though – they have re-opened registration and upped the limit to 20,000 people. upped the registration limit to 20,000 people. Make sure to register here and DO NOT DELAY!

Take a look at the original post to see a breakdown of the numbers. There really are some well-known and expensive restaurants participating, so this is a great way to eat classy, yet cheap!

the restaurant week menus are for the most part filtered down versions of the proper menu list, and often include quite boring entrees. if you want to experience the atmosphere but not the taste of a place, by all means opt for the restaurant week cheap menu. it is unattractive to go to a place, see the special menu and not be interested in it- but feel bound to stick with it instead of shelling out more money for the real deal. otherwise, the a la carte (avoiding restaurant week) is the best option.

@Ryan – I agree with you to a point. It is definitely worth it to investigate your restaurant week choice and see if you can get the menu ahead of time. Some restaurants do a great job with their menu selection during this time, while others are not worth going to.
