Triple Points at the Hyatt 48 Lex (NYC)

Hyatt is offering triple points on all stays at the Hyatt 48 Lex in New York City between July 1 and September 3, 2012. When booking your reservation you must include offer code 48SIC. I checked out a few dates and it looks like including this code will NOT increase the nightly rate, which is great. However, when I put in my corporate rate, the offer code disappeared, so corporate rates might be ineligible. It did work with the AAA rate though. Weekend stays are around $299 during this time, so it is still an expensive stay and using 15,000 points for a free night still might be a better option. If you are traveling on the companies dime, triple points is amazing!

With this offer you will receive:

  • Triple points
  • Complimentary Internet access
  • Upgrade upon arrival
  • 15% off all suite spa services during your stay
  • Drink coupon for two White Grape Martini Cocktails at our newest restaurant, Lexington Brass
Additionally, if you are a Diamond member, you will receive a $25 coupon per guest to use towards breakfast or at the Lexington Brass restaurant.
If you must book on a corporate rate and the points do not post, I suggest calling Hyatt after the reservation is made and request that they attach the offer code to the reservation. I have done this many times in the past with it working most of the time, but not always. Typically this was done with the G1, G2, and G3 bonuses. I was actually able to get the points posted by calling after the stay was completed as well.
I personally have never stayed at this hotel, but have visited a few times. Just recently I was hanging out with blogger MommyPoints and had the opportunity to check out the hotel and join her for a free dinner at Lexington Brass. You can read more about her review of this hotel here.

  1. my guess is that Hyatt plan to raise the category for Lex 48 next year (other hyatt credit card holder would be able to enjoy a free night in 2013), and use this promotion to pump up the hotel revenue in 2012
