A few weeks ago I posted on how you could get a 10% off JetBlue coupon at Dunkin Donuts. There were a number of questions regarding this promotion, so I went to my local Dunkin Donuts to actually check it out. To quickly recap: You can purchase a 1lb of Dunkin Donuts coffee and get a 10% off coupon to use for flights originating in NYC metro airports (JFK, EWR, LGA, HPN). You must book your flight by 9/4 and fly between 9/5 and 11/7 (blackout dates: 10/5 and 10/8).

So here are some answers to your questions:

Question 1: I visited my local Dunkin Donuts, but the cashier knows nothing about this, how does this work?

Answer 1: The coupon is NOT attached to the bag. Each Dunkin Donuts in the NYC metro area should have a roll of orange stickers with individual coupon codes on the back. If the cashier is not aware, ask them to inquire with the manager and search for the roll of stickers.

Question 2: How many people on the reservation is this coupon code valid for?

Answer 2: You can use this coupon code for up to 7 passengers on one itinerary. For a measly $8.99 investment, this can provide some great value! Assume an average $250 flight roundtrip for a family of 4, this can save you $100! Just remember though, the 10% off is only taken off the base fare, not taxes/fees.

Question 3: How many 10% discounts can I use on one ticket?

Answer 3: You can only use one discount code per reservation.

Hopefully this will help you all obtain a 10% off coupon code if you are looking for one!

  1. Ok thanks. So i’m assuming these are only available at Dunkin Donuts in NYC? I could use one for a return flight from NYC-LAX if anyone has an extra. 🙂

  2. In my DD the coupon are attached right to the bags, which are displayed on an open shelf. The counter guy was clueless about it and said I could tear it off the bag…without even buying the coffee. It pays to be nice to the counter guy.
