Yesterday I posted how the cash back site BeFrugal.com was offering 10% cash back for all Priority Club hotels (which includes InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo). Many commenters posted that the cash back site Mr. Rebates was actually offering 15%  cash back. When I looked into this a few weeks ago, Be Frugal was in fact the highest offer, but it looks like Mr. Rebates swooped in there to take the lead. Before I posted the deal, I actually connected with someone at Be Frugal to ask them a few questions. When I found out that there was a better offer out there, I emailed Be Frugal to let them know about this.

Well… less than 24 hours later, Be Frugal has upped their cash back offer and is now giving 16% cash back on all Priority Club hotels! To my knowledge, Be Frugal now has the best offer out there, and in my opinion is a great deal! If you made a reservation yesterday under the 10% cash back offer, I suggest emailing them with your reservation information and request that they bump up your cash back to the 16%.

As mentioned yesterday, this 16% cash back, along with the other promotions currently going on make for an amazing deal. Example: Two night weekend stay before September 3 for $150/night

  • Cash Back earned on BeFrugal.com =  $48
  • 2 night weekend stay before 9/3 rebate promotion = $75
  • Bonus points earned = Approximately 12,000 (this is an average, but it really depends on which promotions you qualify for)
  • Base points earned = 3,000
So your $300 2-night weekend stay will ultimately cost you $177 and you’ll earn about 15,000 points which can be redeemed for a future stay (this analysis does not take into consideration hotel tax or resort fees, if any). Quarterly point break hotels require just 5,000 points for a free night and you can also stay at a Holiday Inn for 15,000 points. Make sure to look at this previous post for a recap of all the current promotions.
