Another blog post by Mr. Deals…

‘In the past Mrs. Deals has made it a habit of forgetting to register me for a promotion here or there. Usually its resulted in some minor loss on our end as a result of her buying things for points or whatever it may be. Over the past few years of marriage, I’ve learned that it’s just part of Mrs. Deals nature, she tends to be forgetful. Sometimes it’s the keys to the apartment, other times her iPhone disappears for a short period of time. Many times she simply forgets where she’s parked the car.

Well this time, she just flat out forgot me!

Mrs. Deals and I are planning on heading out of town around the holidays this year, nothing crazy. We figured we’d make some use of the good ole’ companion pass from Southwest. I’m a big fan of this, because I get to be the companion, which means she takes care of all the travel arrangements and just throws my name on it. That’s all well and good when she does it, except this time she forgot me as her companion! And the flight is sold out! Looks like a small change of plans are in order unless she can figure this one out… Mrs. Deals, I can’t go on vacation with you if you forget me!

So a quick lesson for you all… if you have the Southwest companion pass, add your companion immediately… you hear that Mrs. Deals?!

  1. Sounds like the future Mrs. Scottrick. Her keys and phone are in a new place every single day. She makes fun of me for wearing my ID badge even after work (if we stop on the way home) but I make the point that it all goes in my pockets in the morning, and it all comes out when I get home. In between, nothing leaves my sight.

  2. Mr Deals, I got your back on this one too. If the Mrs does all the travel booking and is obsessed with the points, then it’s her job not to forget. I do all the planning in the household and the Mrs just goes along with it all. I NEVER forget her though. 😉

  3. @stacy @mrdeals we have a similar arrangement in our house, I am not allowed to do Laundry (what do you mean the jeans and towels cant go together?) and @thrivefit (Mrs IPBrian) isn’t allowed to book travel. A marriage is about going with your strengths.
