Double Points on Southwest Flights!

This post may contain affiliate links from our advertising partners, such as American Express. Read my Advertiser Disclosure policy here.

Through November 15, 2012 you can earn double points on every Southwest flight you take. There are no restriction on city pairs which is great. For your typical “Wanna Getaway” fare you’ll receive 12 points per dollar, which is essentially giving you a 20% return to use on future travel.

The one huge issue with this promotion (and all other Southwest promotions) is that only new reservations after registering count for the promotion. I’ve always hated this about Southwest promotions, but I guess it is what it is. If you have an upcoming reservation between now and 11/15 and the price has stayed the same you can cancel and rebook, just make sure you get a new confirmation number. If the price has gone up, do the math to see if it is worth it. Remember, with Southwest there are no cancellation fees.

Additionally, if you are traveling to/from Milwaukee between November 3, 2012 and January 31, 2013 you can receive double points on those flights. Again this is valid for new reservations after registering.

Make sure to register now! Double points on all flights registration link and double points on Milwaukee flights registration link.
