In the past few days I’ve spotted a few random deals, so I want to pass them along to you in case there is any interest:

  • 5% off American Airline flights: Reader Joey emailed me bright in early this morning (thank you!) letting me know that he was successfully able to purchase a ticket using the American Airline 5% discount code 9612DD. This is technically for theĀ City County Council Credit Union of Florida, but it seems it is working for all. This is for American, American Eagle, and American Connection flights through December 31, 2012. You can check out The Points Guy post from this morning for more details.
  • 20% off flights from the US, Canada, and Alaska to Europe (and vice verse) using United mile: Instead of the typical 60,000 miles roundtrip, you can now get a ticket for 48,000 miles (in coach) for flights to Europe between January 15th and Mach 13th. You must, however, book your trip by November 15th. No registration is needed, but you can find out more details on this United page. Remember, United allows one way mileage redemption, so you can take advantage even if you need one way (not roundtrip). This is only good for United operated flights, not codeshares.
  • 50% bonus when transferring Membership Rewards American Express points to Virgin America: Through November 21st, you can get a 50% bonus when transferring your Amex points to Virgin America Elevate Points. Still not a great offer since the transfer ratio from Amex to Virgin America is pretty poor, but a good opportunity if you are looking to top off your account. You can transfer your points and get more information on this American Express site. Thanks to View from the Wing for sharing this promotion!
  • $25 off a Southwest flight to Florida: You can get a $25 off coupon to apply on a flight to Florida with Southwest (Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Key West, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, and Tampa). You must fill out this quick form and the coupon code will be emailed to you (it personally took an entire day for me to receive my coupon code in my email). This code is valid through February 28, 2013 (blackout dates: 11/21-11/26, 12/21-12/24, 12/26/12-1/2/13, and 2/15-2/24/13), however, you must make your reservation by January 3, 2013. Roundtrip flight is required. Thanks to Online Travel Review for sharing this promotion!

Enjoy your hump day!
