10% off Hotels.com Reservations

For Hotels.com reservations booked by May 6, 2013 you can get 10% off your hotels.com reservation by using coupon code HOTELDEALS13. This code is valid for all reservations through September 30, 2013. This coupon is valid only for new hotel bookings, but if you have a reservation booked that you are able to cancel, feel free to cancel and re-book (just make sure your original reservation isn’t passed the cancellation date and the price hasn’t increased).

The coupon excludes:

  • Package bookings
  • Bookings made through a group travel service
  • Bookings paid for at a hotel
  • Bookings paid for in a foreign currently
  • Bookings at non-participating hotels (you can check out excluded hotels here – mostly chain hotels)

The terms state that this offer is valid for the first 12,000 bookings, so the 10% off coupon code could always expire prior to the May 6th date. Prior to paying for your reservation, you can include the coupon code the check and ensure the 10% off is still valid.

Additionally, reservations using this coupon is NOT eligible for their Welcome Rewards program. Keep this in mind when making your reservation. The Hotels.com Welcome Rewards program gives you 1 free night after 10 paid nights.

Remember, you can also book through a cash back portals for extra savings. For example, Topcashback.com will give you 7% back, Bigcrumbs.com will give you 4.5% cash back, and Chase Ultimate Rewards will give you 4 points per dollar spent.

  1. I find these so annoying because the Welcome Rewards program essentially gives you a 10% rebate, so these coupons aren’t much of a deal at all

    • @James K – I agree somewhat. It really depends how often you use hotels.com. I don’t often, so I never get free nights through the program as my nights earned expire.

  2. Don’t forget that there are a number of cash-back portals which can also be used for hotels.com, allowing for an extra ~5% off on the rates in the end. And that 5% doesn’t interfere with the coupons or the WelcomeRewards program.
