Targeted Hyatt Promotion: Earn 5,000 Points with One Stay

It looks like Hyatt is sending out some targeted emails to get travelers to their hotels this summer. I personally have not stayed with Hyatt in quite some time, but prior to this past year I was a Diamond member for 5 straight years.

Yesterday I received the following email from Hyatt:

“Pack your bags and head to any Hyatt hotel worldwide by September 30, 2013. You are registered to earn 5,000 bonus points after your next eligible stay. Then redeem those points for free nights or other exceptional experiences, from suite upgrades to deep-tissue massages. Free nights start at just 5,000 points! We look forward to welcoming you to Hyatt, where finding your own piece of paradise is closer than you think.”

This is a great promotion in my opinion – 5,000 points for just one stay is great! While I am not sure what my summer hotel stays will be, this will definitely get me to consider Hyatt if I have the option. Considering that the most expensive Hyatt hotel costs 22,000 points to redeem for a free night this is almost 25% of a free night at a top tier hotel.

Unfortunately the terms and conditions state that you must have received the email to be eligible for the promotion. So make sure to check your email or spam to see if you received any sort of targeted promotion.

Let’s just hope that this is not their summer promotion and an actual promotion will come for all Hyatt Gold Passport Members on top of this targeted promo.

Did anyone else receive any other promotion from Hyatt?

I got stay 2 nights and get 5000 points.

Earlier in the month, I stayed at Hyatt using points. The last time I stayed at a Hyatt was 1999!

That’s a separate promotion for credit cardholders. My offer for that one was spend $3,000 between July 1 and September 30 get 5,000 points.

My credit card promo was spend $10k in 3 months for 12k bonus points. Not bad. Also received the 3k bonus per stay for my next 3 stays.

I received exactly same targeted promo yesterday although I’m in my Diamond challenge. I have no plan to stay at any Hyatt during the rest of the challenge and won’t be able to retain Diamond after that but am hoping this will be still valid after “losing” the status.

I just finished my credit card offer. I got the same one Denny mentioned above (Spend 3000 in 3 months get 5000 points) but my term was April-June.
