Reminder: Last Day for $10 Credit at 7-Eleven with Plink.com

Note: This is only for new Plink.com registrations

Earlier this week I posted about an opportunity to spend $25 at a 7-Eleven and get enough points to redeem for a $10 gift card at a variety of merchants (i.e., Amazon.com, Zappos, Walmart, etc.). This is through a website called Plink.com which I’ve written about before. While Plink is constantly running new member sign up promos, the reason I highlighted this one specifically that many folks have had luck purchasing Vanilla Reload card at various 7-Eleven locations and the purchase of a gift card will trigger the spend threshold. It actually doesn’t matter what you purchase at 7-Eleven as long as the purchase is $25 or more.  You must sign up for Plink.com using this bonus link.

Additionally, if you are already member, it is worthwhile to add 7-Eleven to your Plink.com account wallet as you’ll earn 250 points for every $25+ purchase. Since most folks buy Vanilla Reload cards in $500 increments, for each card you purchase you’ll earn $2.50 worth of points which helps offset the $3.95 fee to purchase the card. You can read more about this here.

How this works:

  1. Sign up for Plink here for the $10 7-Eleven promotion (make sure when signing up it states the $10 promotion – if you simply go through Plink.com and register you will not be registered for the promotion!)
  2. Link your credit card to your Plink account – I know many do not trust this concept so the choice is yours
  3. Add the merchant you’ll be shopping at to your Plink Wallet account (in this case add 7-Eleven)
  4. Shop IN STORE at 7-Eleven by end of day Sunday July 21 and spend $10 or more in a single transaction on your registered credit card (Vanilla Reload purchases count!)

I made a purchase this past Monday (7/15) and my bonus 250 points posted on 7/19. The new member bonus points will take a little bit longer and probably will not post until the promotion is over, so give it to the end of next week.

Once you points post, you can cash out those 1,000 bonus points for a $10 gift card for the following: iTunes, Tango card (which can then be redeemed at many merchants such as: Target, Home Depot, Pottery Barn and REI, etc.), Amazon.com, Walmart, Kohl’s, Barnes & Nobles, Overstock.com, and Zappos. I personally have cashed out thus far at Amazon.com and it has been an extremely easy process. The certificate took about a day to be emailed to my account (so keep that time table in mind when redeeming).

Let me know if you have any questions! I personally like the Plink concept and love that I can now get points for my in-store purchases.

Note: The Plink link listed is a special referral link. Make sure when registering the promotion is marketed on the sign up page. Personal referral links and just going to Plink.com will not register you in the specific promotion.

I don’t know if it’s different just for me, but my 7-Eleven offer is 250 Plink Points for purchases above $25 (not $100). Thanks for pointer, signed up early in the week, bought one VR and already had the points posted.

@Tom – Hmm… you are right. Just checked my account again and states $25. Not sure if this was an oversight on my part or if it changed, either way, this is better!

I’ve had points post from the regular purchase, but not from the signup bonus that should have come from signing up through your link. Shouldn’t these have posted simultaneously?

@chris – points from the sign up bonus don’t post until 5-7 days after the promotion ends.
