The on-demand car service Uber is giving away free rides this weekend in Denver. Each person can get one free ride up to $25. This is valid through Sunday September 22 at 11:59pm.

Some things to know about this promotion:

  • You must enter promo code MOVINGPEOPLE in your Uber account
  • Only valid for uberX rides (does no apply to uberTaxi, UberBlack, or SuberSUV)
  • Your ride is valid up to $25 – you will need to pay any amount over $25

The great thing about this promotion which differs from many others is that this is NOT for new Uber accounts only – even if you’ve applied a promotion to your account previously, you can still apply this code as well.

Now, if you are a new Uber member, you can maximize by signing up through a referral first.

  • New Uber members can get a free $10 credit just be signing up. This sign up must come from an existing member (the referrer receives a $10 credit as well after you take your first Uber trip).
  • Apply the free ride in Denver using  code MOVINGPEOPLE
  • When a first time user code comes along you can apply that code to your account at that point – using this code should not exclude you from that

Remember, if you are in Chicago you can get two free rides per account this weekend. You can also purchase a $25 Groupon/LivingSocial for $5.

To user Uber, you will need to download the app on your phone and enter your username/passcode. Enjoy!
