Pool Your Families Points with JetBlue

JetBlue just introduced a really cool opportunity to pool all your family points into one account. This is great as it will allow you to redeem for free flight awards easier and allow those accounts that hardly have any points be redeemed. Also, unlike other airlines there is no fee to transfer points from one account to another (which I hate!). The Family Pool will have a Head of Household who will be able to redeem all points for anyone (they do not even have to be a member of the family pool!).

Families consists of up to 2 adults and 5 children (under the age of 21). Each member of the family pool can decide how many points they would like to contribute from their current balance as well as the percentage of points to contribute from points earned going forward.

You can set up a Family Pool account here. The process is very easy and straightforward. It also doesn’t seem as though adults have to be part of the same family. When you go to create an account it asks you your role and you can select Friend if you so desire. Just think ahead with who you want to create a family account with as you can only join one family pooling account. Also, you can only change your contributions towards the family account once a year.

Remember, JetBlue points no longer expire! The family pooling option as well as no point expiration are two AMAZING enhancements to the TrueBlue program. I am really excited about this!
