I’ve been on an absolute role recently with American Express sync’s free money promotions! Recently there have been many lucrative promotions, but a new favorite is that of Delivery.com – an online food delivery service that works with local restaurants. Instead of calling your local Sushi place directly, for example, you can just order through the same restaurant through Delivery.com (same concept as Seamless). With this promotion you will get a $5 statement credit with a $25+ purchase using Delivery.com. Not only that, new members will receive a $5 credit applied to their account after they place their first order (my referral link, but please feel free to post your own in the comments section).
One of my favorite things about the American Express Sync promotions is that gift card purchases typically work. I wasn’t 100% sure about this one as sometimes gift cards are purchased via a third party which does not trigger the statement credit. Last week (12/14) I purchased a $25 gift card and viola, this morning I saw that the $5 statement credit posted to my account!
The reason I love purchasing a gift card in this scenario is that I can use the gift card across multiple orders in the case that I do not order $25+ in food in one single purchase. The great thing about this too is that you can purchase multiple gift cards (in separate transactions) with all your synced American Express cards and your gift card total will sit in one delivery.com account and you do not need to enter your gift card number each time. All you need to do is select the “purchasing gift card for self” option.
Before you get all excited, make sure that Delivery.com is in your local area and includes restaurants that you would order in from. I was able to find a bunch that I typically order in from in NYC, so this is a great promotion for me as who doesn’t love free food!
To sync your Amex card to this promotion:
- Sync your American Express credit card to Twitter (you can do that here)
- Tweet #AmexDelivery
If you have multiple Amex cards, you will need to sync them to different accounts. To learn more about these American Express Sync promotions, read this Amex Sync series, “Amex Sync 101: Overview and Q&A“, “Amex Sync 201: Syncing with AmericanExpress.com“, and “Amex Sync 301: Syncing with Twitter”
