Discounted Ski Tickets at Costco

This has been a great ski season thus far and there is still another 6 weeks or so to go! While there are many ways to get lift ticket discounts at mountains (lifttopia.com, workingadvantage.com, local gas stations), Costco has some great deals. The great thing about Costco is that you can return the pre-purchased lift ticket if you end up not using it  post ski-season (just make sure to double check with your local Costco).

Keep in mind that each Costco location carries different mountains lift tickets as they typically offer those in the region. I was at my nearby Costco yesterday (116th street in NYC) and saw they were offering for Hunter Mountain (New York), Wyndham Mountain (New York), Mountain Creek (New Jersey), Killington (Vermont), and Park City (Utah). I was glad to see Wyndham and Killington added to the list as they did not have this option last year.

So here are some of the various mountain deals I’ve found.

  • Hunter Mountain, New York: Two unrestricted lift tickets for $98
  • Wyndham Mountain, New York: One unrestricted lift ticket for $56.50
  • Park City, Utah: 5 any day lift tickets for $338
  • Killington Mountain, Vermont: Three unrestricted lift tickets for $189.99 (can be purchased at Costco.com)
  • The Canyons, Utah: 2 pack of 3 out of 7 days for Canyons for $400
  • Monarch Mountain, Colorado: 3 ski lift tickets for $119.99, plus save 30% on ski & snowboard rentals and 20% off lodging (can order online at Costco.com)
  • Alyeska Ski Resort, Alaska:  Two-Day Adult Lift Ticket for $104.99 (order online)
  • Big White Resort, British Columbia: Adult 2-Day Flex Pass for $129.00 (can order online at Costco.com)
  • Red Mountain Resort, British Columbia: Two 1-day lift tickets for $114.99 (can order online at Costco.com)
  • Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort, Oregon: Two unrestricted lift tickets for $129.99 (can order online at Costco.com)
  • Mountain Creek, New Jersey: Two 1-day lift tickets for $79.99 (can order online at Costco.com)
  • Smugglers’ Notch, Vermont: One lift ticket for $49.99, some holiday dates excluded (can order online at Costco.com)

Also, many of the packages where you need to purchase multiple tickets allow you split up the tickets amongst multiple skiers. For example, if you are going to Park City with a few friends, you can divide up the 5 lift tickets amongst the group.

Feel free to comment if your Coscto has any others than listed above and I will add to the list. I’ve also heard that REI stores sometimes have discounted lift tickets as well. Enjoy!
