Back in February, American Express partnered with Virgin America to offer a great Amex Sync promotion. Targeted accounts can receive a $30 or $75 statement credit with a Virgin America flight purchase. You must purchase through Virgin America and not a third-party vendor (Travelocity, Orbitz, etc.).

  • Get a $30 statement credit with a $150+ purchase
  • Get a $75 statement credit with a $375+ purchase

This is a reminder that this promotion ends TODAY MARCH 10, 2014. This means that you must book by today as it must hit your credit card statement today to receive the statement credit. It doesn’t actually matter when you are flying. Depending on your targeted offer, this is for a single purchase, so to receive the statement credit you must spend at least $150 or $375. However, I tested this out and the reservation can be for multiple passengers as long as the total reservation comes out to be at least $150+ or $375+. When the charge hits your credit card it will be listed once for the total reservation and not separated by passenger cost.

As of right now you can only register for these promotions through your AmericanExpress.com account. I was able to see the $75 promotion for one of my cards (I have two Amex cards listed in my account), and my husband had the same promotion listed for two of his cards (out of the three total in his account). I am not sure why some accounts are targeted and others are not, it is essentially up to Amex’s marketing team. With that said, in the past some folks have been able to call American Express and get the promotion added to their account, so if you do not see it listed try giving Amex a call.

To learn more about synced your Amex credit card in your AmericanExpress.com account read this prior post. This post also details how to sync multiple cards (I highly recommend reading this prior to registering!).

Let me know if you have any questions in regards to this promotion, or any other Amex Sync promos for that matter!
