Free $10 Gift Card with $50 Amazon Gift Card Purchase

There is currently a promotion for targeted Amazon.com accounts where if you purchase a $50 gift card you’ll receive a a free $10 promotion code to use at Amazon at a future time. While I was not targeted this time around, I was able to take advantage last month and everything went very smooth. I purchase my $50 gift card, applied it to my account, received my $10 promotional credit within a reasonable time, and was able to apply it to me account as well and use it a few days later. There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to their targeting system.

You’ll need to sign onto your Amazon account, click this link, and either you’ll see that you are eligible or a notice saying “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer.”

If you are eligible and shop at Amazon, this is a great offer! Essentially all you need to do is purchase a Amazon.com Gift Card by September 30, 2014, and by October 15, 2014 you’ll receive your $10 promotional code via email. The $10 promo code must be used by the end of October. You can then enter both the $50 gift card and $10 promotion code into your account to use for a future purchase (go to Your Account > Apply a Gift Card to Your Account). I’ve heard mixed results about purchasing two $25 gift cards – some state that it did not work for them last month, so to be cautious I recommend purchasing one $50 gift card.

Were you targeted for this $10 free promotion credit deal? If so, enjoy!

  1. Brad – that’s odd. I did one in June as well and everything worked perfectly. Only hook is that the $10 promotional gift code had an expiration date.

  2. Well I finally got it. I was actually on a chat with the second Amaozon rep when I saw this article and posted. She was going to transfer me to Marketing and Promotions, when I told her I had already heard that and nothing got done. So thankfully she was able to issue me the $10 credit with no expiration date which is good, because I already bought what I planned on using that credit for.
