This is a quick reminder that you only have a few days left to get your $20 Amazon.com gift card if you have a Softcard Account. All you have to do is add a qualifying credit card to your account by October 31 and “tap” to pay with your Softcard with that added card at least once by the end of the month. The great thing about this promotion is there is no minimum amount required for your purchase, so even a 10 cent item will count!

Softcard

While I love this concept, the huge issue is that Softcard only works on Android phones. So iPhone users are semi out of luck. There are compatible cases you can get that will allow you to use the Softcard option (although slightly expensive), but they are not yet made for the iPhone 6.

What is Softcard? Softcard is the newly rebranded Isis Wallet which allows you to pay at certain merchants directly from your phone. This allows you to pay without the need of taking out your credit card.

Compatible credit cards: You can add the following credit cards to your Softcard account:

  • American Express: You can add your personal American Express Cards and OPEN Small Business Cards
  • American Express Serve: Money from a Serve account can come from a debit card, credit card, or U.S. bank account (I’ll write more about Serve in another blog post soon to come)
  • Chase: You can add your Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire, Slate from Chase, and JP Morgan Palladium credit cards. You must be a primary card member for these cards.
  • Wells Fargo: You can check out eligible cards here.

How do I know if a merchant accepts Softcard as a form of payment: You can use it anywhere Visa payWave contactless payments are accepted. You can check out participating locations here.

What is the advantage of Softcard? First off, you get many promotional offers such as this Amazon.com free gift card just for signing up and making one purchase! Also, there are various money saving offers at participating merchants if you use the app. Softcard

If you do not yet have a Softcard account you can start here. Also, Softcard is giving out $10 referral bonuses (in the form of an Amazon.com gift card), so if you already have a Softcard account and want to refer other blog readers, feel free to comment below. The referee will also receive $10 in Amazon.com money too! So it is a win-win situation.

Ooops. Nevermind on the link above, it looks like it is tied to an email address.

Great post and good stuff but signing up isn’t the problem,it’s finding a place to use it. Seems limited in my area.

It looks like they have added the MileagePlus Explorer card in the list of Chase cards as well.

Another way to get UR Points?

I was unable to add my Chase Sapphire card with exp: 12/14. The app said to call Chase and the rep said although my new card won’t ship for weeks, the software doesn’t permit cards with short expiration dates. As an aside, do Softcard purchases with the Sapphire card earn UR points?
