Hyatt just launched a great promotion where you will receive 20% of your points back if you redeem them between February 17 and July 31, 2015. While this is a great promotion, it is unfortunately only limited to those with the Hyatt credit card. Also, you must have had the credit card before 1/31/2015 to qualify, so if you are looking to open a Hyatt credit card now it will not make you eligible for this promotion. However, Hyatt runs credit card specific promotions here and there so it will make you eligible for next time.

Hyatt Promotion

The great thing about this offer is that it includes the points used on a full award stay, a points + cash stay, suite upgrade, and dinning and spa activities. If you already have an upcoming stay with Hyatt booked on points and are eligible for this promotion, I suggest looking into seeing if you can cancel and rebook your stay. Make sure that you can cancel your current reservation with no penalty and that there are still free nights available to rebook.

You must first register for this promotion by March 31, 2015. You will then receive the 20% points back into your account within 4-6 weeks after your stay.

Why rebook old reservations? Terms don’t state that reservations must be after sign up.

Book a stay with Hyatt Gold Passport points and complete the stay by July 31, 2015. If a portion of your stay occurs after July 31st, I would book that part separately. Remember you can supplement your Hyatt account balance with transfers in from Chase Ultimate Rewards.
20% of your points redeemed will be deposited back into your Hyatt Gold Passport account within 4-6 weeks of your stay. Points redeemed for free nights, points + cash nights, room upgrades, and dining & spa awards all count. Points redeemed for Avis car rentals or transferred to airline partners do not count.
