Last week I posted that Amazon was changing up their “No Rush” Shipping offer and instead of offering a $1 Instant Video credit they were switching it to a $5.99 credit towards a Prime Pantry Box order. Well, that offer lasted a whopping 1 week and now they are back offering the same $1 Instant Video credit which had been the norm for awhile.  If you selected the “No Rush” shipping option during that 1 week time period, you will still receive that $5.99 credit towards a Prime Pantry Box order so do not worry. I personally thought the $5.99 credit (which essentially just covered the shipping) was quite generous, so I am not surprised about this sudden change.

Amazon No Rush ShippingThe $1 credit applies to Amazon Instant Video, Amazon Digital Music, and Kindle bools sold and delivered by Amazon Digital Services, Inc. You can check out the full details here. Your order must also be more than $1 to have the “No Rush” shipping option. This shipping option is a slightly longer delivery time (typically 5-7 days). Typically with Amazon Prime you will receive the item within 2-days. This is a great option if you can benefit from the $1 credit and do not need the order immediately.

Since I order from Amazon quite often, the Instant Video credits have come in quite handy!

It would be interesting to know if they ended the promo because too many people were using it… or if (like me), people stopped using “no rush” because they had no desire to use Prime Pantry.

Everybody Hates A Tourist

My guess is that they had too many people taking the credit.

I placed an order on Saturday and took the offer. I built a full box on Pantry, only to realize that I needed to wait for my original order to ship in order to get the credit. It finally shipped yesterday, but when I went back to my Pantry cart, half of the items were out of stock.

Well, I for one am not using No Rush anymore, because when I got the Pantry bonus, nothing made it worth my while. I tried to utilize the free shipping thing they had going, and in order to get both I had to spend way more than I wanted to spend. And the clip-less wouldn’t work at all.
Now, with the $1 bonus, I bought a book that was a dollar, and I couldn’t go through my cart for some reason, and had to just wing it with 1-click. It didn’t take my bonus credit, and charged my credit card $1.
