Dates are typically limited so I suggest booking now and taking 24-hours to decide if you want to cancel (no fee and the money goes straight back to your credit card). And remember, you can always fly Frontier one way and use points or another airline to fly the opposite direction.

Any able to find a cheap fare?

  1. Luckily, Frontier Airlines fly locally, while Spirit Airlines require getting to Chicago or KC. What is strange is that the lowest base cost to fly from Vegas to STL is $69. But the shorter flight on Frontier to KC jumps to $139 for the upcoming month. Note booking LAS-MCI on the ‘Humping Rabbit’ starts at $43, except it’s a true ‘red eye’ trip. Then I would have to wait for a local bus to either get to the KC Amtrak station, the Megabus stop or the Greyhound station.

Next week I’m going to the AARP’s 2015 Life@50+ event in Miami Beach. First, I’m flying Frontier from STL to Orlando (MCA) @$74 and then taking a Greyhound bus early the next morning. Frontier Airlines doesn’t fly between Saint Louis and Miami.
