eBay is selling $100 Southwest Airline gift cards for $95. While only a 5% savings, there are many stacking opportunities to save even more money resulting in up to 20% off!
Additional savings includes:
- eBay Bucks: You’ll earn 2% back on your purchase (you just need to enroll in the eBay Bucks program), so if you are looking to buy 1 gift card that is $1.90. However, some people have received a targeted emails that is giving them 2x, 3x, or 4x eBay bucks back. For the 4x offer, you need to spend $100 or more, that means purchasing more then 1 Southwest gift card. Assuming you were targeted, you’ll get $5.70 back for one gift card and $7.60 back per gift card if purchasing multiple gift cards.
- Online shopping portal: I see there are a few shopping portals giving cash back on all eBay portals. TopCashBack.com is giving 1.25% cash back, while Ebates and Mr. Rewards is giving 1% cash back. Assuming 1.25% cash back, this saves you $1.19 per gift card purchased.
- Using a Chase Ink credit card: If you use a Chase Ink business credit card you’ll earn 5x points on eBay purchases. This will give you 475 Chase Ultimate Reward points. I personally value these points at 2 cents per point (some value them lower or higher), but assuming this valuation this is equal to $9.50 worth of Chase Ultimate Reward point.
On the high end, with the eBay bucks earned, cash back you’ll receive, and using a Chase Ink credit card, the $100 gift card can really be thought of as costing $76.71. Of course this is on the higher end as not everyone was targeted of the bonus ebay bucks offer or has a Chase Ink card. But for those that are able to take advantage of all the three above stacking opportunities, this can get you about 23% savings! You can purchase the discounted Southwest gift card here.
