Delta is offering a “Pre-Black Friday” sale where they have discounted award flights. This sale is for domestic reservations only and you must book a roundtrip to receive the discount. Typically, domestic roundtrip flights are 25,000 miles, and with this sale you are getting 5,000 miles off, bringing the flight down to 20,000 miles. Still a decent amount of miles for a domestic flight in my opinion, but it all depends on how you like to redeem and the specific flight.

Screen Shot 2015-11-24 at 9.59.03 PMThis sale lasts through November 30, 2015 for travel between January 5 and February 24, 2016 (blackout dates include February 12 through February 16, and February 19, 2016.. To take advantage of these discount award flights your reservation must include staying over on a Saturday night. All flights must be reserved on Delta.com. Phone reservations will not work.

There are a bunch of same routes listed on the Delta site, although it seems like it does not include all city pairs. If you are looking to take advantage of this deal, I suggest making a mock booking and see if the flight is discounted prior to actually purchasing it.

Overall, this is by no means the best deal, but can definitely be worthwhile for those that like to redeem their Delta miles on domestic flights. For domestic flights, I personally prefer using British Airways Avios or Southwest points as you can redeem a lot less (typically), but for those with a stash of Delta miles, you might find a flight worthwhile.

Thanks to One Mile at a Time and View from the Wing for sharing this Black Friday deal!
