Hyatt is offering a promotion exclusively for those that currently have the Hyatt credit card. With this offer, you’ll receive a $50 statement credit when you spend $500 or more at a Hyatt Regency hotel. You must register for this offer by October 31, 2016 although your stay does not need to be completed until December 31, 2016.

While this is a great offer for those that can take advantage, there are many exclusions. First, it must be at a Hyatt Regency hotel, not any other Hyatt branded properties (i.e., not valid at Grand Hyatts, regular Hyatts, Andaz, etc.). Also, it is only for stays within the U.S.

If you are able to take part in this promotion, make sure to use your Hyatt credit card to pay for your stay. You’ll receive the $50 statement credit off of your Hyatt bill only if it is that card that was used as payment.

And remember, this promotion is on top of their 75,000 point promotion where everyone is eligible.

How is this a “great offer?” A measly 10% off, if you pay for your stay with the underperforming Hyatt credit card? (as several other bloggers have noted) You’d do far, far better buying Hyatt gift cards …. and earn much more than 10% discount. How much did you get comped for this pump post?

Is it safe to assume that I can charge anyone’s Hyatt Regency stay(s) to my card? This seems like an AMEX offer, where all that matters is the merchant, date or purchase, amount and card used. I ask because I would like to charge my spouse’s stay(s) on my card.
