Similar to the Starwood promotion, Marriott is also earning double points on your first 3 stays. You’ll earn these bonus points between January 16 and April 15, 2017. This is the first time Marriott has aligned their promotion with Starwood as they progress through their merger and you CAN take advantage of both promos. You can register for this offer here.
However, unlike the Starwood promotion, there is no added incentive after your 3rd stay. So if you are looking to bounce between Starwood and Marriott hotels for whatever reason, you are best off completing three stays at each to fully maximize, and then finishing off your stays at Starwood, assuming you can meet the high required nights. Remember though, as of today, nights/stays earned at Starwood and Marriott hotels do not count towards the other hotel chain. So if you are looking to earn status, you’ll still want to stick with one hotel chain.
