American Airlines has been sending out targeted emails giving fliers the opportunity to fast track their status. I know many people delete their email, so if you want to try to see if you are eligible, try registering here with promotion code HV1MT.
IF you are eligible, this is a great way to earn elite status even fast. While the requirements are about a third of what it typically requires, it still requires a decent amount of spend with American (elite qualifying dollars = EQDs).
- Executive Platinum: EQMs = 35,000; EQDs = $4,000
- Platinum Pro: EQMs = 20,000; EQDs = $3,000
- Platinum: EQMs = 12,500; EQDs = $2,000
- Gold: EQMs = 7,000; EQDs = $1,000
You MUST register for this promotion by March 8, 2017 for travel between the date you register and May 26, 2017. IF you are eligible and meet the requirements above, you’ll maintain that status through January 31, 2018.

If it works for anyone, can you write what’s your current status and how many flights you had this year?
My current status is EXP, had only one way flight this year, got the “We’re sorry but the AAdvantage account you entered isn’t eligible for this promotion” message.
