Last month I cautioned folks to possibly hold off on applying for the 80,000 point offer for the Chase Ink Preferred. I mentioned that through the grapevine their might be an even better 100,000 point offer coming at some point although the details were pretty unknown. After that post, a Chase PR representative reached out to me letting me know that the offer would be highly targeted, but would not really provide any other information.

With that being said, it looks like Doctor of Credit was able to get some clarification and starting March 12th, their will be a 100,000 point offer available for the card for those that apply in a branch, not online. Although nothing is definite, what he found is that only select customers (business managed customers) will be eligible for this offer. This offer will not waive the annual fee for the first year. Unfortunately that means that most folks will still only be eligible for the 80,000 point offer both in the branch and online.

While a 100,000 point offer for this card is phenomenal, I still think getting the card with 80,000 bonus points is still really good. I actually applied for this card last Fall with the 80k offer and still think it is a superior offer.

For those interested in this offer, you can read more about it here. Feel free to comment below with any questions.

If you’re above 5/24 are they chances better applying in branch? I went into branch recently and was told I have 3 pre-approvals but I’m over the 5/24. This card would be great paired with CSR

Not even worth wasting a trip in unless you already have a Chase business checking account. This is a nonevent.
