FREE $50 to Hulu with Amex Offers!

A new Amex Offer just popped up where if you spend $50 or more at Hulu you’ll get a $50 statement credit. This offer expires February 24, 2018, and you’ll need to sign into your AmericanExpress.com account to see if you are targeted as there’s no Twitter hashtag for this promotion. Before adding the offer to your card, make sure to use the multi-browser trick to register multiple cards. I personally only see this offer on a few of my many Amex credit cards.

There seems to be a few different Hulu options, with the cheapest one being $7.99/month + tax. That means you can pretty much get 6 months for free! And if you’ve never had a Hulu account before you get your first month free, which will give you a total of 7 months free! Getting no commercial option or live streaming option will cost you more.

From what I see on Hulu.com, they charge you on a monthly basis,  so you wont be able to just pre-pay $50 to immediately receive the statement credit. Although I’ve never used Hulu, so I have no idea! It also does seem like you can cancel at anytime, so if you are only signing up because it is free, make sure to set a reminder in your calendar to cancel once the $50 is used up. Or, if you have multiple registered Amex cards, make sure to change the billing information.

  1. The Handmaid’s Tale, exclusive to Hulu, might be one of the best pay channel originals ever. Worth using this credit to watch it.

  2. Great! I had this on two of my cards and I’ve currently been a subscriber for around a year since we no longer have cable. This is one of our main viewing platforms so this is money in the bank for us. Well, actually I’m throwing in Showtime for a few months to catch up on a few series so even better.

  3. Has it been confirmed how this offer will work in practice? The offer points to hulu.com/start/amex which has a ‘Sign Up Now’ option and further describes the offer as for “New and eligible returning subscribers only”.

Does this work only for “New and eligible returning subscribers” or can it be used for the monthly fee of an existing user?
