Best Hotel Promotion Currently

With all the different promotions out there, you might ask yourself “Which promotion is best for me?” On my blog I have a compiled hotel promotion page so you do not have to navigate throughout the entire blog trying to find all the current quarterly promotions. This is updated every time a major chain announces their new promotion (the ones that last typically 1-3 months). Make sure to check this often to register and be up to date with all the promotions. On the top buttons click Hotel Promos –> Compiled Hotel Point Promos.

Right now, in my opinion, Starwood is running the best promotion. For every three stays, you will earn one free night to be used at over 200 Starwood resorts until December 21. These are by far the most valuable, however, if your future travel is taking you to a non-resort area (i.e., NYC, London, Hong Kong), this promotion might not be the promotion for you.

If you are trying to rack up the most amount of points for a vacation in 2012, then I’d go for the Hyatt promotion. These bonus points are much more valuable than the bonus points Hilton and Marriott (starting June 1st) are giving out – after 25 nights will receive 60,000 Hyatt points (10K for first 5 nights, then 5K each additional 2 nights). And then if your only option is Hilton or Marriott (as they are the two hotels everywhere), stay at Hilton through May and then switch to Marriott on June 1st. For members with status, you will receive (or call and ask to for your promotion to be changed), 50,000 Marriott points for 25 nights, where those same 25 nights will only result in 25,000 HHonor points at Hilton. To compare point to point, 1 point at Hyatt is more valuable than 1 point at Marriott, which is more valuable than 1 point at Hilton.

As always, depends on how you use your points and the vacations you are planning in the future!
