Marriott just released their 2-for-1 dining promotion starting today July 8, 2011 through August 28, 2011. At all US non-resort hotels and participating international hotels, guests can buy one meal and get one free at Marriott, JW Marriott, and Renaissance brands. These certificates are good at the hotel restaurants or for room service for any meal throughout the day. The lesser value of the two entrees will be free.
These certificates are only available to gold and platinum members of the Marriott program, however, you are able to gift them to friends and family. You will need to print out the paper certificate from your Marriott rewards account (make sure you are already signed into your account prior to clicking the link) and present it at the time of purchase.
Make sure to print out multiple copies if you plan on using the certificate more than once during your stay. The certificates can be used as many times during the promotional period, since there is no certificate number on them tying it back to your account.
I have used these many times and they have worked great. Be ready to explain the certificate to the waiter/waitress when you present it as they might not have seen these certificates before and aren’t sure how to enter them into the system. It might take a little explanation or having the manager involved, but ultimately you will end up receiving your free meal!
There are two different certificates, one for JW Marriott and Marriott hotels and one for Renaissance hotels:
- More Moments to Share: Half-Priced Dining from Marriott and JW Marriott Hotels –> good at all Marriott and JW Marriott non-resort hotels in the US as well as a bunch of participating international properties
- Two-for-One Dining: More Food For Thought From Renaissance Hotels –> good at all Renaissance non-resort hotels in the US as well as a few participating international properties
Now hopefully we will see those Marriott free night certificates coming out in the next day or two!
