Unlimited Bonus Points with American Airlines and British Airways

American Airlines and British Airways announced a fairly lucrative promotion that will run through September 19 through December 31. Unfortunately, if you are traveling on your own dime, this promotion probably will not apply to you as it is for passengers flying on a paid full fare, business class, or first class ticket. Chances are, if you pay for for these fares, you are not reading a blog on how to travel for a reduced cost!

When flying on American Airlines, British Airways, and Iberia, you will continue to earn more miles with each round-trip transatlantic flight (eligible fares listed below).

  • First round-trip flight: 25,000 bonus miles
  • Second round-trip flight: 35,000 bonus miles
  • Third round-trip flight: 45,000 bonus miles
  • Every round-trip flight thereafter: 45,000 bonus miles

There are actually two variations of this promotion: One for the AAdvantage program and one for British Airways Executive Club members.

AAdvantage Program Details

  • You must first register for this promotion at www.aa.com/offers using promotion code EUR11.
  • Eligible fares include: First Class, Business Class or full-fare Economy Class fares booked in F, A, J, R, D, I, Y, B or H on American Airlines operated flights; on British Airways operated flights, fares booked in First Class, Club World, World Traveller Plus or full-fare World Traveler: F, A, J, R, C, D, I, W, E, T, Y, B or H; on Iberia operated flights, fares booked in Business Class or full-fare Economy Class: J, C, D, R, I or Y.
  • Registration prior to travel is required
  • Offer applies only to US residents

British Airways Executive Club Details

  • You must first register for this promotion
  • Eligible fares include: First (booking classes F, A), Business Class (booking classes J, C, D, R, I), World Traveller Plus Premium Economy (booking classes W, E, T) and Economy (booking classes Y, B, H). Flights operated by British Airways subsidiary OpenSkies do not qualify for this promotion.
  • Only reservations made after registering will qualify for the promotion, additionally, lights cannot be flown within 24 hours of registering
  • Offer applies only to US and Canadian residents

Remember: All bonus points with American Airlines earned prior to December 1, 2011 will count towards million mile status. This promotion is a great bonus to help you on your way!

    • @Mary – No where in the T&C does it state where the flight needs to originate from, which is quite annoying! I would recommend sending them a message and asking about this. Please keep me posted!
