Big Savings: Discounted Car Service to/from Manhattan (and Other Cities) Through Jetsetter

UPDATE: This deal is now sold out

I was reading my routine blogs this morning and one specifically caught my eye at One Mile at the Time. This is not only a great deal for many of my readers, but also one that I will be fully taking advantage of.

For the next 8 days, or until sold out, Jetsetter has partnered with GroundLink Car Service and is offering discounted car service to/from select major airports. Since I am most knowledgeable about the typical Manhattan fares, I have included them as well so you can see the savings. The good thing about this Jetsetter promotion is that the discounted fare includes tip and taxes, where any other taxi or car service fare does not. All vouchers are valid through July 31, 2012.

If you do not currently have a Jetsetter account, you can also get a $25 credit towards this purchase (or any first purchase) by simply signing up for a new account by using using a referral link. The referrer will also receive a $25 credit after the referee makes his/her first purchase. With the $25 discount this deal is really worth it (total of $4 to/from LGA, $10 to/from EWR/JFK, and $14 to/from ORD/MDW/LAS/SFO). Even without the $25 applied credit, this is cheaper than taking a taxi or another car service provider.

  • LGA Transfer Voucher: $29
    • Typical car service: $33 (dial 7 car); $38 (
    • Typical cab: ~$25 (meter rate)
  • EWR Transfer Voucher: $35
    • Typical car service: $48 (dial 7 car); $49 (
    • Typical cab: ~$85 (meter rate)
  • JFK Transfer Voucher: $35
    • Typical car service: $48 (dial 7 car); $49 (
    • Typical cab: $45 (flat rate)

  • ORD Transfer Voucher: $39
    • Typical car service: $60 (
  • MDW Transfer Voucher: $39
    • Typical car service: $60 (

Las Vegas:

  • LAS Transfer Voucher: $39
    • Typical car service: $64 (

San Francisco:

  • SFO Transfer Voucher: $39
    • Typical car service: $59 (

  • Mobile Voucher is good for $75 credit to be used on $35

*Keep in mind that the individualized services must be to/from that actual city. If you are looking to go to Brooklyn, for instance, do not purchase the Manhattan service. The Mobile Voucher should instead be purchased and can be used to take you to/from any Ground Link serviced airport.

To sign up for a new Jetsetter account and get the $25 credit:

1. Click on a referral link
2. Enter your email and click continue

3. Although you’ve already entered your email, that has not signed you up for a new account, you will still need to sign up for a new account by clicking the Sign up button in the upper right-hand corner.

4. Your email address will already be populated. All you will need to do is enter a password for this account and then click the Create Account button.

5. Go to the Jetsetter sale and purchase your deal! Note: Sometimes you might need to log out and log back in for the $25 credit to appear.
