$25 Amex Statement Credit with a $50 Purchase from Vente-Privee

American Express is at it again! They are really on a ball with these statement credits and I am loving it! This time it is for vente-privee, another deal-a-day site that offers 3-4 different brands at a time at a discounted price. Between January 10 and March 31, 2012, when shopping at vente-privee you will receive a one-time $25 Amex statement credit for any $50 or more purchase. This is the second time that American Express has offered a statement credit promotion with vente-privee.

While I have actually never purchased anything from this site, I do check it out regularly as I receive their daily emails (warning – they do send a good amount of emails). The brands are typically high-end and still relatively expensive, but with this statement credit I might actually pull the trigger!

Remember, you must use an American Express card (or co-branded card, such as Starwood Preferred Guest by American Express). Also, since the statement credit is a one-time thing, if you are looking to make multiple purchases, you should be able to get another statement credit by using another Amex credit card. However, I’d recommend making the 2nd purchase from a different vente-privee account.

Also, if you are not yet a member, find a friend and use their referral link. They will receive a $20 credit after your first purchase. You are always welcome to use mine as well! You can register for a new account here.

Happy shopping!

    • @Vivek – I believe you are referring to the Amex Gift Chain promotion?

In the T&C it states: “Statement credits (including the Specified Merchant Statement Credit) are subject to the statement credit terms and conditions found at http://www.AmericanExpress.com and will be credited to the registered Card account as a statement credit within the next two (2) billing cycles.”

My statement credits appeared on 1/23.

  1. @ dealswelike – I interpret this “To redeem this offer, you must use an eligible American Express® Card to make your first purchase of $50 or more at vente-privee (www.venteprivee.com) from 1/15/2012 through 11:59 PM (EST) on 3/31/2012” to reference your first purchase at vente-privee. So, for those of us who took advantage of the $25 statement credit in December, you would not be eligible for this one (assuming they track your purchases at VP through your credit card). If you agree with this interpretation, you may want to to clarify in your post. Thanks for the info!

    • @Fewtreezy – I believe it is just your first purchase during this time period where you will receive the $25 statement credit. Meaning it is a one-time deal. This promotion (unlike the one in November) is not catered towards new users.

  2. I have not gotten my Gift Chain credits. My next statement date is ~Feb 12th, so hopefully they’ll show up by then.

The terms for this Ventee offer include “American Express branded cards issued by a licensed third party bank,… ” Does that mean the Citi AMEX will not work?

  3. Hmmm. I put a thread about VP on MP when they were offering $20 credit for any purchase, that was a great deal! the T&Cs of this one could be read two ways. If “your first purchase” is the key phrase, then folks who did the earlier deal are probably out. If “of $50 or more” is the key phrase, then I may be able to hit it again, since I’ve never made a $50 purchase.

    • @Andy – the way I read it is during the promotional period you will receive a statement credit after a $50 purchase. Only one statement credit per person. This is not limited to new accounts or anything.
