I wrote about this promotion within minutes of it being announced, however, at that time there was no registration link. The promotion started TODAY and you can register now.

Promotion recap: Between February 1 – April 30, 2012, you can earn the following bonus points by staying at any Hyatt hotel (which includes Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt House). You will also earn an additional 25% bonus just by having the Chase Hyatt credit card:

  • Stay 4 Nights = Earn 4,000 Bonus Points (+1,000 bonus with credit card)
  • Stay 8 Nights = Earn 8,000 additional Bonus Points (+2,000 bonus with credit card)
  • Stay 12 Nights = Earn 12,000 additional Bonus Points (+3,000 bonus with credit card)
  • Stay 16 Nights = Earn 20,000 additional Bonus Points (+4,000 bonus with credit card).

So the total bonus you can receive is 44,000 points (or 54,000 points if you have the credit card). This equates to 2 free nights at a top category 6 hotel. Not the best promotion in my opinion since it takes 16 nights to receive these points, but again, better than nothing.

With this new promotion I will have to re-look at my hotel strategy and see what now makes sense. At most, I see myself staying 4 nights and earning a total of 4,000 points. The first promotion I’ll be taking advantage of is Marriott’s stay twice earn a free category 1-4 night.

Still dreaming of those Faster Free Nights!!!
