Reminder: Marriott Hotels Changing Categories Tomorrow – Book Now!

This is just a friendly reminder that over 600 Marriott hotels are changing their categories, which goes into affect TOMORROW (March 15th). Only 100 hotels are going down a category, while 500 hotels are going up! This means more points needed to redeem for a free stay. You have the rest of the evening to book – d0 not delay!

Additionally, if you have earned any free category 1-4 nights from the current Megabonus promotion, book those hotels now. 98 hotels are moving from a category 4 to a category 5, which means they are no longer eligible for the free night certificates.

If you are not 100% sure of your travel plans, book with many different scenarios and cancel later (assuming a flexible cancellation policy). Marriott will allow you to book a free night award even without any points in your account.

You can read more about this change in a prior post.
