Alright, every once in a while Mr. Deals has an obligation that he must go to that requires travel. For example, this weekend I am in Montreal for a friends’ bachelor party (dangerous, I know). Mrs. Deals helped me book this trip quite some time ago and rather than saying “Yay, Mr. Deals is going away for a weekend, FREEDOM!” what does she go and do? She goes and books herself a trip trying to one up me!
Now, I get it, Mrs. Deals is a travel (and deals) blogger. She loves to travel and luckily her job allows her a fair bit of vacation days to exploit for her hobby. But just because I go away doesn’t mean she has to go away. This isn’t a competition Mrs. Deals! You realize you haven’t been home for a weekend in what seems like months! Now I’m not mad that she’s going away, but I guess I would’ve thought she may want to enjoy the place that we call home.
So while my trip to Montreal is just this short weekend hop, Mrs. Deals is enjoying a nice long weekend frolicking around the vineyards of Napa with a girlfriend of hers. Mrs. Deals, I’m just messing around, love you. Enjoy Napa and bring back some wine!
