Club Carlson has many properties, including Radisson, Country Inn & Suites, Park Inn, and Park Plaza. The first three hotel chains currently have a promotion where you receive 50,000 or 44,000 bonus points after your first stay (assuming you already registered). The Park Plaza chain was originally left out, however, I just went to the Club Carlson site to cancel some reservations my parents have and noticed a new promotion that now includes this chain – it is called the “Park Plaza Ultimate Night Giveaway.”
There seems like there might be some communication issues with the promotion. Although it is a new promotion that stars today (June 28th) it states that the first 20,000 people have already registered (which I find hard to believe). Currently it states that you will receive 15,000 bonus points after completing a qualifying stay at any Park Plaza hotel around the world between June 28th and August 28th. These points will be added to your Club Carlson account so can be used for any Club Carlson stay and not just a Park Plaza hotel.
Hopefully there will be some clarification with this promotion, but if you have an upcoming stay it is worth registering and getting your 15,000 points. I would not suggest incurring a non-needed stay at this hotel chain just for this promotion as the 15,000 points is probably not worth.
UPDATE #1: I just registered for the promotion and saw that my email confirmation stated that I will receive 50,000 points for participating. Additionally, I just saw that blogger MommyPoints posted on this and many folks are facing the same issue and the website is constantly changing back and forth between 15,000 points and 50,000 points. I think it is safe to assume that if you register now (or in the next few days) you’ll receive the 50,000 points.
UPDATE #2: I went back to the Club Carlson site just a few minutes later and the site has been updated to be back to the 50,000 points. This is a great opportunity to get another 50k Club Carlson points! Keep in mind though most of these properties are international, with the only US one being in Minnesota.
