Double JetBlue TrueBlue Points from Washington, DC

I was just glancing through the JetBlue website to see if there were any flight deals for a friend and came across this Washington, DC based promotion. Through October 31, 2012 you will earn double points when you book on for flights to and from Washington, DC (DCA). However, you must register for this promotion and purchase your flight by August 12.

This promotion will give you a total of 9 points $1 spent on your flight.

  • Typical earning rate = 3 points per $1 spent
  • Booking your reservation on = 3 points per $1 spent (ongoing promotion)
  • Double points for flights into and out of DCA = 3 points per $1 spent (current promotion)

Unfortunately, existing reservations will not count as you must register for the promotion prior to booking your flight. Also, since it states that reservations must be booking through, corporate reservations that require you to use their own online travel system will probably not apply as well.

Remember, you can also receive double US Airways miles from flights to/from DCA as well. Looks like DC is the hot spot to be in right now!

  1. I’m not sure how this deal would work to your advantage. Even with the 9 points per dollar spend the best redemption I could find is a ratio of 23 points to $1 spent. Am I just not looking at the right flights?

    • @Keith – This is not an opportunity to get more points when earning then redeeming, but as an opportunity to get additional bonus points on your flight.
