Cheap Parking at Newark Airport

Via Groupon you can purchase discounted parking at Newark airport for about $4/day. This is extremely cheap, although typically this garage only charges about $8 including tax (so their website says). Newark Liberty Parking ( is less than a mile from Newark Airport and offers over 1,500 self-park spaces. They offer 24-hour shuttle service and they run every 5 to 10 minutes. I personally used this parking lot (and this deal) last Fall and had a great experience. The shuttles ran on time and their parking facility seemed safe and legit.

This Groupon deal expires September 2, 2013 and you can purchase 2 per account (and 2 additional as gifts). You can, however, only use one certificate per visit. There are four options to purchase:

  • $4 for one day of airport parking (an $8 value)
  • $12 for three days of airport parking (a $24 value)
  • $20 for five days of airport parking (a $40 value)
  • $55 for two weeks of airport parking (a $112 value)

At the lot you’ll have to pay an additional $4 port authority fee (no idea what that is for). Since parking is $8 a day otherwise, if you have a 7 day stay, for example, you’ll purchase the five day parking pass (for $20) and then at the lot pay for the additional 2 days (so $16). You cannot combine passes, only one per visit.

I personally like flying out of Newark better than JFK for the sole fact of cheaper airport parking. JFK and LaGuardia charge an arm and a leg.

Enjoy your discounted parking!

  1. They’re really good, Shuttle runs 24/7 and the drivers are actually pretty friendly. I’ve been parking there ever since discovering them.

However, I think recently they had a repricing, as regular rates are at $6.99 now if I’m not mistaken. $4 is still a sweet deal though.
