Get $45 in Free Uber Credit

Uber is running a few promotions right now and if you fully maximize you can get $45 in FREE credits! Earlier in June I posted an opportunity to get $35 in free Uber credits and at the time it was one of the best promotions I had seen thus far. However, a few new promotions were just launched and with this you can actually get $45 in FREE Uber credits!

Through Amazon Local’s deal-a-day site you can get $25 in FREE Uber credits and the best thing is that they are giving it away for free, you do not actually need to purchase the deal. Additionally, for a limited time, Uber has upped the referral credit to $20. By maximizing both promos, you can walk away with $45 of Uber credit for free! Unfortunately though, like all other Uber deals, it is for new members only.

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you are probably well educated on what Uber is, but in case you have not been paying attention or new to this site, Uber is an “On-demand car service that allows everyone to have a private driver experience through iPhone, SMS, and web based requests.” It is less expensive than a car service, but slightly more expensive than a yellow cab. Your credit card is stored in your account so there is no exchange of money at the end of the ride. A 20% gratuity is automatically added as well. Cars are extremely new/clean and the company will even text you with the drivers name for extra security.

Amazon Local Deal Details:

  • $25 in credits for FREE
  • Redeem by: Thursday, August 31, 2013
  • Limit one voucher per member
  • For new Uber clients only
  • Free ride up to $25 must be used by August 31, 2013

The one difference with this Amazon Local promotion versus other promotions in the past is that this promo states that the $25 can only be applied to one ride and any unused credits will be forfeited. So this is more like a free ride up to $25, not a $25 credit that can be used multiple times. If you think you will be taking a ride that will cost much less than $25 then I suggest holding off on applying this new user promo offer and wait for another promo that allows the credits to be used over multiple rides.

Referral Details:

Uber is doubling their referral credit to everyone. If you share your personal invite code with friends between now and July 7th, your friend will receive $20 of Uber credit (instead of the regular $10). Additionally, if they take their first ride before July 7th, the referrer will also receive $20 in Uber credits (also instead of the regular $10). The referral credits won’t get better than this so even if you don’t think you’ll be using Uber right now it’s worth signing up just to get the $20 credit to use later on.

Steps on combining both promotions (make sure to pay attention and follow the correct order):

  • Now, for new Uber members, which you all must be to jump on the first deal, you can get a free $20 in credit just by signing up! This sign up must come from an existing member (the referrer receives a $10 or $20 credit as well after you take your first Uber trip).
  • Via Amazon Local “purchase” the $25 credit. As mentioned, this is is for new Uber customers only. As an FYI, it will take some time to get the voucher email.

To ensure you are able to get credits from a referral and the Amazon Local free promotion you must FIRST sign up for Uber using the referral link and then enter the Amazon Local voucher code you receive in the “Promotions” box after signing into your Uber account. DO NOT click the Uber sign up link that is given in the voucher email from Amazon Local.
