Last Day for $20 Referral Credit from Uber

Last week I posted that you can get $45 in free credits from Uber – $20 from the referral and $25 from an Amazon Local’s deal. While the Amazon Local’s deal still has a few more days till expiration, the $20 in FREE credits simply by signing up is ending TODAY. So even if you only have a few seconds today to spare, just sign up for Uber and worry about a new member promotion at another point. If you want to read more about the Amazon Local deal and how to combine this with the $20 referral credit, read this prior post.

To quick recap on what Uber is:

An“On-demand car service that allows everyone to have a private driver experience through iPhone, SMS, and web based requests.” It is less expensive than a car service, but slightly more expensive than a yellow cab. Your credit card is stored in your account so there is no exchange of money at the end of the ride. A 20% gratuity is automatically added as well. Cars are extremely new/clean and the company will even text you with the drivers name for extra security.

Now back to how to get the $20 in free credit. Typically, when you sign up for Uber through a friends referral link you will get $10 in free credit. The referrer will also get a $10 credit once you take your first ride. For a limited time, Uber is offering the referee a $20 credit as long as you sign up by TODAY. This does not mean you need to take your ride today, just sign up. However, if you do ride by today the referrer will get a $20 credit – for all rides post today the referrer will get the normal $10 credit.

This referral credit is the best one I’ve ever seen so make sure to not miss out – even if you are not 100% sure if you’ll ever use it no harm in signing up. With this $20 bonus you still will be able to combine it with the numerous new member promotions that come available. Each Uber account is allowed to get a new referral credit and a first time use credit. Just make sure if you are combining both promos you sign up with the referral code first!
