I wrote about this promotion back in June, but just wanted to send out a reminder. As mentioned a few months ago, Hyatt was sending out targeted emails to get travelers to stay at their hotels this summer. The email I receive from Hyatt stated:

“Pack your bags and head to any Hyatt hotel worldwide by September 30, 2013. You are registered to earn 5,000 bonus points after your next eligible stay. Then redeem those points for free nights or other exceptional experiences, from suite upgrades to deep-tissue massages. Free nights start at just 5,000 points! We look forward to welcoming you to Hyatt, where finding your own piece of paradise is closer than you think.”

This is a great promotion in my opinion – 5,000 points for just one stay is great. You’ll also get your normal points for the stay and if your stay is between now and the end of the month the night will count towards this Fall’s bonus promotion so you are really double dipping.

Hyatt hotels range from 5,000-22,000 points/night for a free room, so this promotion can equal anywhere between a free night to 25% of the points towards a free night. Unfortunately you must have received the email to be eligible for the promotion.

Now, while I received the “stay once, earn 5,000 points”, some received different promotions. They include:

  • Stay 2 night, get 5,000 points
  • 3,000 points per stay with a maximum of 9,000 points (3 stays)
  • 2,000 points per stay up to 8,000 points (4 stays)

If you were targeted and planning on taking advantage of this promotion, make sure to remember that you stay by September 30th!

  1. I never knew I was registered for this promotion..So we had a mechanical issue on our flight and the airline provided my stay at Hyatt Place… Although I should not have got credit for that stay but somehow it got posted as an eligible stay and I got 5000 bonus miles.. Feeling Lucky 😛

  2. I see that I am targeted for that email, but am in Vegas so am staying at MGM resorts. I’m thinking that this promotion is probably Hyatt only, but I’ll get the bonus from the fall promotion.
