20% off LivingSocial Deals

Reminder: The 20% off Living Social promotion ends tonight. Although they seem to come out with some sort of promo every few weeks. Enjoy!

Living Social is offering 20% off their deals by using promotion code MOREDEALS. This code expires Thursday October 31 at 11:59pm PST. While 20% off is great, the maximum discount that can be applied is $20, so if you are looking to purchase a deal that is $100+, you are looking at $20 off, not a full 20%. The good thing though is there is no minimum amount required for the deal to be applied.

You will see your savings after entering the code in the “Redeem promo code” box during the checkout process. Living Social will also only allow you to apply this code once per credit card used, so if you are looking to redeem multiple deals, just use another credit card.  It is also only valid on deals in the United States.

One current Living Social deal is a $20 Overstock.com voucher for $10. With this promo code it will end up costing you $8. For those that frequently shop at Overstock, $12 in free money is great.

You can also go through one of the many points/miles shopping portals to purchase a Living Social certificate. With inexpensive purchases, I always go through the site where I need to keep my miles activate as just one mile credited to American Airlines, US Airways, and United will keep your account active for another 18 months. For the most miles and points American Airlines is offering 6 miles per dollar spent, and Ultimate Rewards 5 points per dollar spent.

Anyone find any great deals to get some extra savings?

  1. You should consider joining most of your co-BA bloggers in the practice of acknowledging a comment such as Scott M’s with a quick response like “fixed – thanks.” You have a SOP that looks a bit sneaky in that you just make the change without acknowledgement. Of course your original post referred to “today, October 31.” You would appear much more gracious if you thanked Scott M..

  2. Great timing, thank you. Found a deal that fit my immediate needs and allowed me to complete requirements of the SkyMiles 1,500 portal bonus expiring soon.
