It has been awhile since Club Carlson offered a good hotel promotion! Luckily, they just announced a new offer that is half-way decent and quite honestly better than many of the other promotions out there.
Between January 6 and April 13, 2014, you will receive 38,000 bonus points (so not necessarily a free night at a top top hotel as 38,000 points will get you up to a category 4 hotel). While I’d prefer earning enough points to redeem at a top hotel, I like the option of receiving points that DO NOT expire over a free night certificate that does expire (such as the Hyatt promotion). The Hyatt promotion also requires 5 nights to receive the free night certificate (up to a category 4 hotel), where this one only requires 3 nights! Your 3 nights to not need to be consecutive, which is great. And no need to hotel hop to give you 1 night stays.
- Promotion is capped at one bonus per account (unlike the Hyatt promotion you can earn up to 4 free nights per account)
- Your stay must begin on or after January 6, 2014
- Your stay must be completed by April 13, 204
- Nights paid for using Points + Cash or just points are not eligible for this promotion
- You must register before checkout of the first eligible stay to qualify
For those of you new to the Club Carlson loyalty program, hotels include: Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotels. While Club Carlson properties can be a hit or miss, there are definitely some great hotels out there, especially many of the Radisson Blu properties – here are some recommended Club Carlson properties in Europe.
Remember, with the Club Carlson credit card, earning 38,000 points is really like 76,000 points! This is because if you are a Club Carlson Visa credit card holder, with every award stay, you will get your last night free. For example, if your stay is only 2 nights, your 2nd night will be free! It is by far the best hotel credit card for free nights, especially for those shorter stays. You can learn more about this card here and the free night redemption benefit in. This is one of the hotel cards where the annual fee pays for itself.
