Airbnb Free Night Success!

A few days I wrote about a great promotion through Airbnb. Essentially, all new accounts who book a 2+ night reservation will receive a free night (up to a $300 credit). You must make this reservation by tomorrow, January 17, and your stay must be before March 31, 2014.

My parents are going to Italy in March and of course yours truly was selected for planning their entire trip. I have Venice and Rome all set for them on points, but Florence was starting to be a bit challenging. There are not too many hotel options for points and the ones that are available require way to many hard earned points to be used in my opinion. I then started searching for an apartment in Airbnb. The rates were great and there were some great options with a ton of reviews. For me to trust a place I need to see many reviews, not just a couple which easily could have been written by the owners brother, aunt, and dog, for example.

The free night promotion couldn’t have come at a better time for me (well really my parents). Many places require a 3-night minimum stay, but I was able to find one with a 2-night minimum at $127/night. After the fees and coupon code the cost for the two nights is $155! The hotel is near the Duomo and from the map looks to be a great location.

If you are looking into taking advantage, you have until end of day tomorrow, so do not delay! To apply the coupon, once you get to to the Payment page, you need to enter code ONENIGHT by clicking on the coupon code link. You will then see one night’s rate taken off (up to $300). If you recently booked prior to this promotion, it might be worth reaching out to the owner and asking if you can cancel and rebook. The owner will still be getting fully paid for your stay from Airbnb.

If you do not yet have a Airbnb account, you can sign up here (this is my referral link, but please feel free to leave your referral link in the comments section).
