Amex Sync: Free Food with

I am so excited to see the Amex Sync deal re-appear for the third time now! is an online food delivery service that works with local restaurants, same concept as Seamless. So instead of calling your local Sushi place directly, for example, you can just order online through with the same menu options.

With this promotion you will get a $5 statement credit with a $25+ purchase using Not only that, new members will receive a $5 credit applied to their account after they place their first order (my referral link, but please feel free to post your own in the comments section).

One of my favorite things about the American Express Sync promotions is that gift card purchases typically work. I can confidently state that purchasing a $25 gift card does work! I’ve done it for the past two rounds of this promotion and will be doing it again. The reason I love purchasing a gift card in this scenario is that I can use the gift card across multiple orders in the case that I do not order $25+ in food in one single purchase. The great thing about this too is that you can purchase multiple gift cards (in separate transactions) with all your synced American Express cards and your gift card total will sit in one account and you do not need to enter your gift card number each time. All you need to do is select the “purchasing gift card for self” option.

Before you get all excited, make sure that is in your local area and includes restaurants that you would order in from. I was able to find a bunch that I typically order in from in NYC, so this is a great promotion for me as who doesn’t love free food!

Since I have 7 Amex cards I will be purchasing a total of $175 gift cards and receiving $35 back as statement credits – a nice 20% discount for something I’d be spending money on anyways!

To sync your Amex card to this promotion:

  • Sync your American Express credit card to Twitter (you can do that here)
  • Tweet #AmexDelivery

If you have multiple Amex cards, you will need to sync them to different accounts. To learn more about these American Express Sync promotions, read this Amex Sync series:

  1. is not in my area (New Mexico) but I noticed when I went to their site they are offering $7 off for new members on their first order.

  2. On their site, New customers can get $7 off their first order. Just to make sure, I can buy gift cards using the sync promo and use it for CARRYOUT as well? Unfortunately, there are no restaurants that deliver in my area, but I do see a number of them listed for carryout option.

  3. Am I missing something here? How can be considered any deal??? For most of the restaurants they charge a delivery fee of $6.99 and on top of that for every single item their price is at-least $5 to $6 more than the restaurant price. So I’m paying almost $13 more to save $5????

That does not sound like a deal to me…

    • @BlackHill – In NYC (I cannot speak for any other city), the menu’s are exactly the same so no increase in price. There is also no delivery fee. There is just a minimum order amount which matches the restaurants delivery minimum exactly.

  4. In NYC, I’ve noticed that often displays lower prices than for the same restaurant.

However, you should always double check as yesterday,I noticed that Seamlesss same offered a lower minimum order and expanded menu options over what that same restaurant displayed for
