Amex Daily Getaways: $50 Alamo Gift Certificate for $25

This post may contain affiliate links from our advertising partners, such as American Express. Read my Advertiser Disclosure policy here. Additionally, some of the offers on this page may no longer be available through Deals We Like.

Tomorrow’s Daily Getaway promotion (Week 1, Day 4) is offering the opportunity to purchase a $50 Alamo gift card for $25. While this is a great offer at 50% off, if you use your Amex credit card, the deal will actually only cost you $22.50, so a 55% discount!

You are able to purchase 3 of these Alamo certificate deals per credit card and combine up to 3 separate certificates per single rental. The fact that you can use three at one time is great and can really give you some significant savings on an upcoming rental. The only negative thing is that the certificate is not valid with any other discount, offer, or promotional rate, so there might be times where those rates might be cheaper than 50% off – although probably not too common.

This deal will go on sale at 1pm EST TOMORROW Thursday May 22nd. I do not believe this deal will go that fast and if you want to grab this offer you’ll probably be able to. I still suggest though getting on your computer prior to the offer being available. Also remember, like all other Daily Getaway promotions, you’ll receive 10% off the purchase price if you use any American Express credit card – so get your Amex card ready!

  1. I bought into this ‘deal’ 2 years ago. I ended up giving away my certs because Alamo always priced out much higher, even with the discount. As always YMMV.

  2. I’ve got a reservation with Alamo for this Friday. If I buy these tomorrow will I be able to use them for my preexisting Friday reservation?

  3. I’ve bought these in the past and they typically expire the end of the following year that they have been purchased.

I don’t see any expiration date. Did I miss it somewhere?

And to Mike’s question.. Yes you can use them if you get them in time.
